Prepaid E-Filing Accounts

Glotrans is now offering prepaid accounts to filers who do not wish to use a credit card to cover the costs of document filings in the Superior Court of Santa Clara County.

How Prepaid Accounts Work:

Your firm designates an administrator to oversee the account. Firms with multiple offices can open a corporate account or one account for each office, based on your preferences.

The administrator sends a check to Glotrans to prepay future electronic filings. The administrator has password-protected access to an administrative web page that shows the ledger for the account, including all deposits and debits as well as the current balance. Each debit corresponds to a filing made an attorney. Full details are provided for each filing, including the name of the case, parties, type of document filed and fee paid.

Filing costs are debited from the account at the time of filing. On the web page, the administrator can add and remove attorneys who are authorized to use the account. When the balance of an account falls under a set threshold, the system automatically sends an email to the administrator who can then replenish the account by sending a check to Glotrans.

How to Open an Account:

Prepaid accounts are easy to open: Your administrator can call Glotrans at 510-208-4775 and open an account by phone. Or send email to support@glotrans.com, and a representative will call you back.

To open an account you will need to designate an administrator and send a check to Glotrans. We recommend that you send a minimum of $1,000. Large firms who do a lot of filings should send amounts in the $5,000 to $10,000 range.

Checks are sent to:
